Regesta Imperii

The term regesta (Latin res gestae , the things done) refers to abstracts of legal relevant content of documents from the Middle Ages and early modern period. The Regesta Imperii (RI ) contain activities of Roman-German kings and emperors and some popes from the Carolingian period until the beginning of the modern era . Provided 1831 by the Frankfurt based archivist, librarian and director of the Städel Johann Friedrich Böhmer  they were constantly updated and extended an and are now available and searchable online.
